Confidentiality – A Cornerstone of Trust

What is confidentiality? Why is it so important to the client and vendor relationship? How does one guarantee confidentiality? Confidentiality isn’t just a buzzword that we throw around at ATC. It’s a fundamental pillar of our operations and something that we take extremely seriously and understand the importance of in our over 58 years of business.

The impact on our business would be impossible to come back from if we didn’t take confidentiality seriously. We work with each member of our team to reiterate the importance of it within our onboarding process, and keeping confidentiality is a commitment upheld by every member of our team.

Confidentiality is a mission-critical talking point that is part of numerous communications with clients and prospects alike, and is deeply intertwined within the context of a Master Service Agreement (MSA), a Statement of Work (SOW), a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), and Confidentiality Agreement (CA), and a plethora of other documentation. Not every client sends ATC such detailed documentation, or any documentation at all. We do however, include a confidentiality agreement and non-disclosure agreement in the onboarding materials to our team of transcriptionists and anyone who words for ATC in any capacity. These legally binding documents bind our team members to strict confidentiality obligations, prohibiting the disclosure or unauthorized use of any client information or data they encounter during the course of their work.

On a yearly basis we review all documentation that our team has signed, update documentation accordingly, and send out all the materials to the team to review and re-sign. This is an important part of the annual due diligence that we partake in to make sure each person remembers what they’ve agreed to in all aspects of the business, but most importantly, focused around the seriousness of confidentiality and non-disclosure.

From the moment a client’s audio file(s) reaches our hands to the delivery of the final transcript, stringent measures are in place to safeguard confidentiality. As a leading provider of transcription services for over five decades, protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our clients’ sensitive information is at the core of everything we do. For our clients, this translates into peace of mind.
