“One of the biggest obstacles in getting these oral histories online was our inability to produce comprehensive transcripts in an effective and efficient manner. Due to the nature of the recordings (e.g., poor audio quality, multilingual, multiple interviewees) and the complex transcription work required, automated transcription tools were ineffective and we didn’t have the expertise in-house to generate quality transcripts. This is where ATC’s expertise has been invaluable to our project because they were able to step-in and efficiently produce the high quality transcripts that we needed, reducing what would have taken years for us to complete down to just a few months.”
