Our process for translation takes a holistic yet forensic approach to ensure that each recording is first transcribed in its original source language. After the translator completes that first phase, the recording is then translated into the language of choice. We like to call it, “translication.”
Why is this a critical process to follow? Well, plain and simple it is imperative that the recording is first transcribed in the original source language to keep the fidelity of the recording. Otherwise, if we translated as we were also transcribing, we’d be interpreting the recording, and not translating. The original recording’s meaning would literally be “lost in translation.”
