Bilingual Spanish-English Transcriptionists & Translators

DESCRIPTION:

As a bilingual Spanish-English transcriptionist and translator with the Audio Transcription Center, you will play a key role in transforming spoken recordings into accurate, meaningful transcripts. Your work will involve translating recordings in their original source language and then transcribing them into English transcripts that preserve the tone, intent, and cultural nuance. This position requires more than just fluency; you will also need to complete some quick, online, accurate research for the spelling of names, places, etc.

Our bilingual transcriptionists work on a variety of projects, including oral history interviews, academic research, legal interviews, educational programs, and more.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING:

  • Fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English.
  • Strong grammatical, style, and punctuation skills in both languages.
  • Typing speed of 80 WPM or faster.
  • Impeccable hearing and attention to detail.
  • Ability to not only meet, but also exceed client deadlines.
  • A genuine interest in language, culture, and transcription accuracy.

REQUIREMENTS FOR BILINGUAL TRANSCRIPTIONISTS:

  • A reliable internet connection.
  • A confidential email address.
  • The ability to return transcripts as .doc files.
  • It is recommended to use transcription software controlled via hotkeys or foot pedal, and high-quality headphones.
  • High-quality headphones that minimize background noise and improve audio clarity.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and data protection across all projects.
